Hello to all of our members,
This week, the funding from the Substance Use and Addictions Program for the National Safer Supply Community of Practice (NSS-CoP) ends. This means that we are saying goodbye to three of our team members: Alexandra Holtom, Fola Ojo, and Robyn Kalda.
I’d like to invite you to join me in saying thanks to them for all the hard work that they have done and the passion that they have brought to their roles. We will miss them so much!
So, what’s next for the community of practice? I will continue on as the Program Manager, based at the London InterCommunity Health Centre (LIHC). In my role, I will be continuing to support a scaled down version of the CoP that will include:
- Maintaining the website as a source of resources and information
- Hosting webinars and workshops
- Updating the evidence brief
- Facilitating clinical, operational, and weekly interdisciplinary drop-in meetings
- Moderating our Google Groups
We will continue to look for sources of funding so that we can expand the work to meet the needs and goals of our membership. In the next couple of months, we’ll be sharing new resources produced by our working groups. Stay tuned!
There is much work for us to do, and we all do it better when we do it together.
